HOW WE SUPPORT RESCUES
FeedTheirJoy was built from a deep respect for the rescue community and the work you do every day. This program is designed to help raise supply donations for verified 501(c)(3) rescues in a way that is simple, transparent, and centered around your real needs. We're grateful for the opportunity to support the organizations saving lives and caring for animals when they needs it most.
Program Overview
FeedTheirJoy is a supporter-driven sweepstakes designed to turn public participation into supply donations for verified rescues.
Anyone can enter the giveaway to try to win the current Grand Prize and are then given the option to vote for the rescue they want to support. The rescue with the most votes at the end of that giveaway will receive all donations in the form of most needed supplies during the following giveaway.
For example - The beneficiary of our December Sweepstakes was LoveThemAll (LTA) Sanctuary & Rescue in Scottsdale, AZ. Supporters entered for a chance to win the Grand Prize of one year of free pet food, and through that participation we were able to provide LTA with kibble donations of their choice.
After the Sweepstakes ended, we selected the Grand Prize winner and reviewed the votes supporters submitted for other rescues they believe in. Ruff Start Rescue in Minnesota received the most votes in Decemeber 2025 and is now the beneficiary of our current Sweepstakes. All donations will support Ruff Start Rescue through March 28th. Supporters entering this current giveaway for the chance to win another Grand Prize are voting for the next rescue to receive donations in the following sweepstakes.
How Donations Are Funded
All donations are funded through Sweepstakes participation.
Each entry contributes to a donation pool, and the total donation amount is based on overall participation during the Sweepstakes period. Higher participation leads to a larger supply donation for the benefiting rescue.
There is no limit to donation amounts. The higher the participation, the larger the donations.
Receiving Votes
After supporters enter the sweepstakes, they receive the opportunity to vote for a rescue they’d like to support.
Rescues are encouraged to share posts about the Sweepstakes with their community, followers, and supporters to help increase visibility and votes. Share our link, tag us, invite us to collaborate or request an invitation to collaborate on select posts of ours.
***Please note our Official Rules about eligibility to vote. The current beneficiary (Ruff Start Rescue) cannot be voted for again during this current round. Ruff Start Rescue owners, immediate family, and staff can NOT enter the giveaway. Volunteers are welcome to participate.
There is no extra work involved for rescues outside of posting as little or much as desired. We provide simple, ready-to-use posts and captions rescues are welcome to use. Make a post and we are certain your community will vote!
Donation Style
The winning rescue receives as many supply donations tailored to their needs as the giveaway participation allows us to.
Rather than receiving cash, the rescue provides a list of requested items—such as food, medical supplies, enrichment items, or cleaning essentials—so the donation is practical and immediately useful.
The rescue with the most votes by the end of the most recent Sweepstakes will be contacted for 501(c)(3) confirmation, if not already received. If the rescue accepts to be our next beneficiary, we will start featuring the rescue on our website and social media. All donations will go to that rescue throughout the entire duration of the new Sweepstakes.
How to Participate
Participation is simple and free:
- Be a verified U.S. 501(c)(3) rescue
- Provide basic verification and contact information
- Share the sweepstakes with your supporters, volunteers, and community (optional but encouraged)
- 501(c)(3) verification is NOT needed to be voted for. People vote for rescues not yet verified by us all the time. It IS needed to receive donations should that rescue win the votes.
There is no cost or obligation for any rescue, ever. We thrive to make this as simple and most beneficial as possible without putting any more pressure or tasks on rescue teams.
